Stubborn Just Like Her Mother!

It was about 4:30, and Miss Emma had only had one 30 minute nap since waking up at 9:00am. She was tired. Most the time when she gets tired, she gets slap happy and really silly! Cant complain.. but if we dont put her down soon, shes gets CRANKY! On my way home from my moms house, she fell asleep as i was parking. I took her upstiars and put her in her swing, thought for sure she'd pass out right away. Well at first she was slap-happy, smiling and laughing everytime i walke by! Then the cranky came out, and she was REFUSING to sleep! When she falls asleep and her head nods (mostly in her car seat) Kelly and i refer to that as the "church nod" ya know, when church is gettin a lil boring and you keep falling asleep, and your head falls forward,or backward and it wakes you?! ha! Youve all done it, dont deny! Anyways, emma is notorious for this! Well today as she was crying in her swing refusing to sleep she was doing it. (usually shes already asleep and she does it, so this was new!) It was so funny! She likes to sit up in her swing now, so she was doing this and falling asleep!

The other day kellys brother and his wife came to hang out! We had SO much fun, and emma got her first trip to the beach. Kelly and i are not big "beach people." In fact we only go when out-of-towners come! hahaha! Emma enjoyed the scenerary.. and was weirded out by all the wind! All in all it was a fun day!! (can you tell im NOT in a writing mood...not sure why im blogging)

Do you want the long version or the short? short... kelly served his mission here when i was like 15, he fell in love with me..jk he fell in love with my family... we deathly hated eachother, he seriously repulsed me! He came back a few months after he got off his mission.. all slim and trim, lookin hot! He hung out with my brothers a lot, i had a BF, dumped him, threw him to the curb, kelly was my rebound... hahahaha and well i guess there isnt a short version of this..hahah

2- How long did you date before you were married? 11 months!!

3- How long have you been married for? 1 year, 9 months, and some days! ha!

4- What does he do that surprises you? He randomly brings me flowers sometimes. Hes amazing

5- What's your favorite feature about him? his shoulders, i know weird... but theyre sexy. oh and his smile... and those amazing blue eyes....

6- What's your favorite quality about him? He's passionate, and an amazing listener.

7- Does he have a nickname for you? What is it? Mostly Whit, or Babe.

9- What's his favorite food?ohh tough one. Hes down for anything home made basically, except my cooking.. just kiddin hun!

12- When and where was your fist kiss? Parents house, watching a mooooovie!U shoulda seen him, he was SO scared, he hadnt kissed anyone for like 3 years (including mission)

13-What's your favorite thing to do as a couple? Movie night! We walk to albertsons and rent a dollar movie... its amazing! i have good taste in movies

15- What's a hidden talent that he has? His sniping skills on Call of Duty are amazing.

17- What's his favorite type of music?He loves every kind of music, he even downloads no namers, and mos the time theyre pretty stinkin good!

Emmas New Trick

Yesterday i read in Parents Magazine an article titled "baby milestones" and i was so bummed because it said toe sucking usually starts at 4-6months, and i thought... awww emma hasnt done that yet!!! Well i think she heard my thought cause as i was changing her diaper she did this....

So i guess we need to take a break from painting the nails for awhile :-(


Ps.. Cuss-aholics is goin pretty good, the first day my lovely sister helped me and kept count, 5 in 3 hours... but i gotta admit... she brings it out in me! hahaha!!! Each day it does get easier and easier... Im taking it one day at a time!

Ladies and gentlemen, i swear, A LOT! Today i have decided to cut back, and possibly one day STOP swearing!!! Disclaimer: i do NOT use the "F" word. So dont think im THAT trashy! Ha! I do however use all the others, and sometimes for comedic timing! However i am going to stop, one cuss word at a time! Ill keep you all posted on my progress, cause i know you all have nothing better to do then worry about my horrible cussing habit! I have stopped biting my nails, so cussing is my next thing!

About 5 minutes ago i dropped emmas play jumper thing, right on my big toe knuckle ( wow i need to learn the proper words for things, possibly my next goal?) anywho... i dropped it... and all i shouted was... OH CUSS!!!!! ha! So there! thats one small step for man, one GIANT step for whitney!!!!


And im going to add a poll... is HELL a bad word... really?

I never knew how fast 4 months could go!

Emma is 4 months old! She is 14pounds 8ounces, in the 75th percentile! HEr personality is already coming through strong! She screams when shes happy, she screams when shes mad.. theres a slight difference in the scream. a scream only a mother could love! I figured out a good way to describe it, you know when you blow up a balloon.. and squeeze the end so the air slllowly comes out and makes that VERY high pitch wonderful noise... Yep! Thats emma!!! Ha! She knows how to roll over, but quite frankly just doesnt want to, unless she HAS to! She keeps her tiny feet in the air as much as possible. Shes LOVES her father! she LOVES nursing, the more the merrier, and i love it as well! Onsies are our favorite thing to wear! i say OUR because... they are the easiest to put her in, you donhave to "match" anything, and shes so comfortable in them.Cant argue that!


Needless to say, shes an AMAZING baby, so relaxed and fairly easy going! Time is flying SO fast, i wish i could slow it down!!!!
